Abuse & Reporting

notrace.email is a privacy-focused email service, but it is not a free pass for harassment, fraud, threats, or other illegal activity. If you believe a notrace.email account is being used in violation of our Terms of Service, you can submit an abuse report.

What you should report

We encourage you to report activity such as:

• Fraud, scams, phishing, or impersonation
• Harassment, targeted abuse, or threats
• Spam sent from a notrace.email address
• Use of notrace.email for clearly illegal activity

We do not handle general internet disputes, personal drama, or issues unrelated to our infrastructure or accounts.

What to include in an abuse report

To actually investigate and take action, we need enough detail. Your report should include, at minimum:

• The notrace.email address in question
  e.g. username@notrace.email or one of our other domains.
• A clear description of the abuse
  What happened, how you were contacted, any context that matters.
• A full, original copy of the email including all headers
  Do not send screenshots only. We need the full message source: headers + body, exactly as received.

If you cannot provide full headers or enough technical detail to identify the message on our side, we may be unable to verify the abuse or tie it to a specific account.

How to send full headers

Most mail clients have an option such as “View Source”, “Show Original”, or “View Message Headers”. Use that option, then:

• Copy the entire raw message (headers + body) into a text file and attach it; or
• Paste the full raw content directly into your report.

What we do with abuse reports

When we receive a valid abuse report, we may:

• Review the reported message or activity against our Terms of Service
• Check for matching messages or patterns within our system (where technically possible)
• Warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that clearly violate our Terms
• Cooperate with valid legal processes when required by applicable law

notrace.email is a minimal, privacy-first service. This means we keep limited technical data and do not operate as an all-seeing tracking system. If the abuse report cannot be linked to any verifiable account activity, we may not be able to take action even if the behavior is unpleasant or harmful.

What we cannot do

• We cannot access or modify logs, accounts, or messages belonging to other providers.
• We cannot act as your legal representative, investigator, or law enforcement.
• We cannot restore accounts or data for third parties based on your request.
• We cannot take action based solely on unverifiable claims with no technical evidence.

Emergency & law enforcement

If you believe there is an immediate threat to life, safety, or physical security, contact your local law enforcement or emergency services first. They can reach out through appropriate legal channels if they require information from us.
